Each animal rescued by FFAR lives in a loving foster home and is guaranteed a place to stay for as long as that animal is in the foster program
Foster families provide a means to house, train and nurture dogs and cats for adoption. They carefully socialize their fosters and reinforce basic obedience.
Volunteer foster families must be willing and able to devote time each day to oversee the complete care of their foster including: feeding, grooming, socialization and exercise.
Our foster homes and volunteers are the backbone of our organization - the more foster homes we have, the more dogs and cats we can rescue.
If you would like to foster dogs for FFAR click on the button on the right of this page to submit a Foster Application form. The application is not a commitment, we know you will have a lot of questions and we will meet with you to discuss your questions or concerns. All our new foster parents are given training and help.
Fostering these animals is an incredibly rewarding and memorable experience - we look forward to hearing from you!
If you would like to foster CATS, please send us an email and we will contact you as soon as possible.
Wouldn't you like to join our team of foster parents?
Our foster families open their hearts and homes to dogs and cats in need and offer them a safe and loving environment. They spend ample time with each animal, assessing their individual personalities and determining what type of permanent home environment would be best for the animal and ensuring that the dog or cat is a good match for the new family.
